Born in Ireland and now residing in the mystical Catskill mountains of upstate New York, AILÍSE carries the stories of those who came before her. Her music bridges past and present with a sound that is rooted in ancestral spirit. In her songs, AILÍSE pulls on themes of change, personal evolution and re-igniting the fires within.

AILÍSE has completed grades in ABRSM on classical violin and holds a bachelor’s degree of Performing Arts in Voice from the Irish World Academy of Music & Dance at the University of Limerick, Ireland.

She has extensive live performance experience ranging from collaborative sound projects to choral production, from musicals to Irish sean nós workshops, from classical violin recitals to singing competitions, from wedding gigs to playing in recording studios and venues performing solo/band gigs with vocals, fiddle and guitar across Ireland, South Florida, upstate New York as well as New York City.

She has performed at venues such as the National Concert Hall and Liberty Hall Theatre (Dublin, Ireland) as well as University Concert Hall and Lime Tree Theatre (Limerick, Ireland). Some other notable performances include Bethel Woods in Bethel, NY and Cafe Wha? in Greenwhich Village, Manhattan.

AILÍSE is also known for her works in original Irish (as well as English) language composition having written her song “An Gorta Mór” which plays in the first ever Irish language horror film “An Taibhse” directed by John Farrelly and executively produced by Jim Sheridan.
